RED. Another red smothered sun. Another day of inhaling burnt trees and ashes of homes. Another day of COVID, not defeated. Another day of hanging on. Another day of grabbing fragments of optimism in the winged flight of an egret. The chatter of an Artic Tern. The barking of my dog as he begs for a run to the park.
Soul searching for the optimism to carry us through. Belief that we humans, in our constant search, will discover solutions to the threats that we face. That we will not be defeated by lies and innuendos. That we will not lay down and be trampled by conspiracies and blatant threats to undermine our intelligence.
Optimism, that our innate human spirit of decency and care for our fellow man will triumph.
