The fire continues to burn unabated, but the frontlines have moved beyond that which is visible from Highway 75. National Guard Units have joined with local law enforcement to insure that all evacuation areas protected. Smoldering trees create a heartfelt anguish from everyone in the valley. And everywhere, signs applauding the efforts of firefighters – nothing less than miraculous – line the roads.
